Bass Harbor Light

Spent this weekend in Maine relaxing in the cool air and exploring some new places. Will be posting a few series of shots. This first one is of Bass Harbor Light near Southwest Harbor on Mount Desert Island. Only about a half hour drive from the main tourist locale of Bar Harbor, this light house is set back from the crowds and is a great place to watch the sunset. It's incredibly quiet and secluded.

Brought the camera along to a family wedding in New York to try some artistic shots. Fantastic locations and great time with family and friends. A few highlights are below.

On the Shore

A selection of shots from this weekend on a few beaches on Cape Cod. When doing long exposure shots during the day, the jetties provide a great contrast to the blurred ocean and sky.

Memorial Day at Boston Common

This year, 33,000 American flags have been placed on Boston Common to commemorate fallen Massachusetts service members. A fantastic scene. Thank you to all who have served and happy Memorial Day!

Long Exposures & The Super Moon

Over the past few weeks, I've been trying out several new filters and  techniques in an attempt to capture more interesting perspectives. So, I spent this weekend snapping away where I could. Here's the first of what will surely be a series of long-exposure daytime shots... and of course, several superfluous pics of the 'super moon' that was all the rage this Saturday.
